EXTERIOR PAINTING & RESTORATION

Connecticut and Rhode Island shoreline. Since 1983.

We identify the conditions affecting paint longevity, plan a path forward, and resolve every issue, from the larger systems of the home to the smallest detail, to deliver a finish that lasts.

We Evaluate:

  • Existing coating condition and failure modes: peeling, blistering, cracking, alligatoring, chalking, and fading

  • Adhesion and compatibility of prior coating layers

  • Wood substrate: rot, soft boards, insect damage, fastener corrosion, and end-grain exposure

  • Wood characteristics: cupping, warping, knots, and tannin bleed-through points

  • Caulking and sealants at joints, transitions, and penetrations

  • Flashing at roof, wall, window, and door transitions

  • Roof condition and runoff patterns affecting the siding

  • Gutters, downspouts, drainage, and grading at the foundation

  • Windows and doors, including glazing, weatherstripping, and overall condition

  • Mold, mildew, and moisture intrusion, both visible and concealed

  • Environmental exposure by elevation: sun, salt air, wind-driven rain, freeze and thaw, and vegetation contact

We Resolve:

  • Removal of failed coatings

  • Wood and substrate repair and replacement

  • Exterior carpentry, trim, and millwork

  • Siding repair and replacement

  • Roof and flashing repair or replacement

  • Custom and standard gutter systems, downspouts, and drainage corrections

  • Window and door replacement, including Marvin and Andersen systems

  • Mold, mildew, and moisture remediation

  • Caulking and sealant renewal at joints and transitions

  • Surface preparation determined by substrate and exposure

  • Primer systems specified for the substrate and topcoat

  • Application of finish coatings
