Cyr Painting And Restoration provides professional painting and restoration services primarily in Connecticut and Rhode Island, including but not limited to:

  • Historical restoration

  • Color consultation and design services

Primary Areas

Charlestown RI, Groton Long Point CT, Lords Point Stonington CT, Mason's Island Stonington CT, Mystic CT, Noank Groton CT, Stonington CT, Watch Hill Westerly RI

Secondary Areas

Essex CT, Groton CT, Ledyard CT, New London CT, Niantic East Lyme CT, Pawcatuck Stonington CT, North Stonington CT, Old Lyme CT, Old Mystic Groton CT, Old Saybrook CT

Service availability in other areas may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Contracts and Estimates

Estimates

  • All estimates are provided free of charge
  • Estimates are valid for 30 days unless otherwise specified
  • Estimates may be subject to change based on unforeseen conditions discovered during the project

Contracts

  • All work requires a signed contract
  • Payment terms will be specified in each contract
  • Changes to the scope of work require written approval
  • Contracts are governed by Connecticut and Rhode Island law

Payment Terms

  • Payment schedules will be outlined in individual contracts
  • We accept cash, check, and electronic payments
  • Late payments may incur additional fees as specified in contracts
  • Final payment is due upon project completion and your satisfaction

Project Execution

Access and Preparation

  • Client must provide reasonable access to work areas
  • Client is responsible for removing or protecting personal property
  • We will take reasonable care to protect your property during work

Materials and Labor

  • We use quality materials appropriate for each project
  • Material specifications will be outlined in contracts
  • We maintain appropriate licenses and insurance coverage
  • Work is performed by trained professionals

Timeline

  • Project timelines are estimates and may be affected by weather, material availability, or unforeseen conditions
  • We will communicate any significant delays promptly

Warranties and Guarantees

  • We provide warranties on our workmanship as specified in individual contracts
  • Material warranties are provided by manufacturers
  • Warranty claims must be reported promptly
  • Normal wear and tear is not covered under warranties

Limitations of Liability

Important: To the maximum extent permitted by law:
  • Our liability is limited to the contract value of services provided
  • We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages
  • Client assumes responsibility for pre-existing conditions not disclosed
  • Force majeure events excuse performance delays

Insurance and Licensing

  • We maintain appropriate general liability and workers' compensation insurance
  • We hold all required state and local licenses
  • Proof of insurance and licensing available upon request

Intellectual Property

  • Original color schemes and design work remain our intellectual property unless specifically transferred
  • You grant us permission to photograph completed work for marketing purposes
  • We respect your privacy and will not use photos without consent

Cancellation and Termination

By Client

  • Contracts may be cancelled within 3 business days of signing (where applicable by law)
  • Cancellation after work begins may incur charges for completed work and materials
  • 48-hour notice required for appointment cancellations

By Company

  • We reserve the right to terminate contracts for non-payment or breach of terms
  • We may decline projects that pose safety or legal concerns

Dispute Resolution

  • Disputes will first be addressed through good faith negotiation
  • Mediation may be required before litigation
  • Connecticut or Rhode Island courts have jurisdiction depending on project location
  • Prevailing party may recover reasonable attorney's fees
